Hi, it's Tina, and I'm here with your one-minute management tip. Recently, I've been rereading Captain David Marquet's book, Turn the Ship Around. If you haven't read it, I highly suggest it—it has so many practice management tips that we can use for our private practices.
The one that I was looking at recently is emphasizing clarity over control. Helping people to define the why behind every task that they do. Because when we clearly explain why each task that each person in the practice does matters and how it impacts the success of the practice and the patient's care, hopefully, they'll begin to understand how important their position is in serving the patients that come into your practice every single day. Take the time to make sure that you make it clear. When you do this, "This is the benefit that Mrs. Jones gets. When you do this right and we get all the insurance information, the billing goes out clean and we get paid quicker."
So make sure that you explain the whys because it really helps. And if you need any help with that, all you have to do is email me at [email protected].
Take care. Bye bye.
